Don't Make It Seem Like You Are TRYING to Get Off the Phone With Lori

At the end of a two hour phone conversation with my sister:

Lori: “Well, okay, I guess I’ll let you go.”

Me: “Alright.”

Lori: “Why did you agree so quickly?”

Me: “Huh?”

Lori: “I don’t like how you were so willing to go.”

Me: “Um…I meant, ‘that’s a shame that you have to go, Lori’.”

Lori: “That’s better. Love you mean it.”

Me: “Love you, bye.”

  1. Come on...the first person can't be an anonymous post that says "first".

  2. I'm not quite that pathetic and needy. I feel this was somewhat slanted, although technically accurate...

oh and anonymous 'first!' was me

  3. I just KNEW it was you. Only a dorkus membrane like you would do the "First!" thing.

It was NOT slanted...it was a 100% accurate recollection of the facts. You and Suzie Skankerton are becoming Internet stars...

  4. My bothers are worse. My oldest brother doesn't use words to speak, but would rather headbutt or pin you and spit on you to show his love. I have to talk to him daily and I have to create both side of the conversation. As for my little brother, he is worse than your sister. He is the most sensitive and emotional man I have ever met. I guess it makes up for my lack of girliness. He's more like my sister. Family can be so much fun.

  5. I can't believe what a totally terrible and callous person you are treating Lori, such a wonderful beautiful person, like that. I think you should make amends and buy her a huge, huge box of chocolates. I mean really huge.

Hi Lori! (Dan waves to Lori above.)

Lori, that box of chocolates is pretty damned huge. Are you going to share some with me or not??
